what is the name of this Honeysuckle?

Hi,
My brother's neighbor has a honeysuckle growing in her yard that has white flowers and we can smell it all the way over in his yard. It is not invasive and she says its a very old plant. Does anyone know what the name of this might be? I would love to have some plants but don't want to get the wrong one, some of them have no smell and are invasive here.
thank you, Kathy

Kathy,
It sould be "Sweet Sue" which is sold at Brushwood Nursery.
Just put the name without spaces in your search on the net and you will find their web site.
They sell only NON invasive honeysuckle on their site.
Sweet Sue is fragrant, the honeysuckle I bought from them doesn't have much of a frangrance, but it is pretty, and doesn't bother my bushes at all.
Check them out. Or get a cutting this summer from the one you liked. They root from cuttings very easily, just ask first, the person won't mind, they grow quickly.
Good Luck!

is it blooming now? could be lonicera fragrantissima or winter honeysuckle. it grows as a shrub (semi-deciduous in my area) rather than a vine and blooms during winter with whitish flowers that have a strong lemon fragrance. the fragrance can carry a good distance from the shrub on a warm day.
they have been blooming here for about 4 or 5 weeks.

Here is a link that might be useful: winter honeysuckle
