Paperwhites are beautiful but the scent of paperwhite is considered musky; which is described as cotton candy plus manure. Nacissus Chinese Sacred Lilies, and hybrids, have a pleasant sweet perfume.

chinese sacred lily = narcissus tazetta v. orientalis.

i grew a double-flowered form of narcissus tazetta called 'constantinople" some years ago and they were beautifully scented.
