My Crown Jewel gardenias look similar to this. I'm going to wait until late spring to do anything with mine. The leaves that are closest to your house look pretty good, so that's a good sign.

Thank you. If you do prune yours, would you send me pic how they look after pruning? I am new at this and am not sure how to do it. I was told I could prune 1/3 ...does that mean leaving dead leaves on lower branches? Will dead leaves fall off as new growth appears? I too am encouraged by few green leaves I see!
