Kandhi, just letting you know if you didnt already that deciduous magnolias can take several years to flower especially if you are buying a young plant. Best to get one that is already blooming size in those big box planters if you dint want to wait years for the plant to mature. There are some cultivars that are said to bloom when young grafts especially if it has Magnolia lilliflora ancestry but in my experience its been 3 years and I still haven't seen a flower from the 'Vulcan' I picked up.

Musaboru, thanks for the tip. Now I have done enough research on this and have checked with few nurseries around here and they carry these plants in blooming sizes. So I am going for a 7gallon size plant, now I need to look for a good location for it in my yard. Heard that the fragrance strong rose/fresh linen.
