Here's one of mine at 3-4 foot, but it was airlayered. I've heard rumers it takes apx 4 years from seed. Is it in full sun? Is it potted or in the ground? Have you fertilized it this year ? I use a good balanced grandular, time released ferrtilizer like 14-14-14 every 3months. -- Not liquid fertilizer. Mine all started blooming the middle of March. ......cheryl
Hi Cheryl, thanks so much for sharing the pictures of your beautiful Stemmadenia. Our seedling was sprouted in the year 2000. It's in a pot in full sun, we've been feeding it 16-16-16, and an occasional helping of palm food (for the micros). We're really encouraged by your pictures, and hope to get blossoms any year now ;-).
Is the fragrance as great as we've heard?
Thanks for the help,
Carole p.s. do you have any white Plumeria in your collection?
Yes the fragrance is worth it!!! The minuite I open my back door, I smell them. Very pleasant, pretty fragrance. I kept mine in a pot for almost a year, because we do get an occasional freeze here. Well the temps went down to 28 one night and it hardly touch it. Little leaf tip damage. That's when I planted it in the ground. Within 6 weeks it burst into bloom. This was the first picture was taken of it. My trees are 8 and 12 foot now. The 12 foot gets full sun. The 8 foot gets morning sun only. Mine blooms from middle of March till Dec non stop! It is my #1 favorite plant. *I only have 1 white plumeria. ......cheryl
