I don't think you'll find the hoya is a patio plant really, it's really an indoors/greenhouse plant. However, the rest look good.

Um, where's the problem here? Lots of fragrant plants? Sounds good to me! ;-)

Here's the deal -- the perennials you've chosen so far sound like they'll do fine if they're in the right location -- sun lovers in full sun, shady plants (like the lily of the valley) in light shade, etc.

The ones you've mail ordered are probably going to be small things for a while -- don't expect a lot of flowers from the brugmansia this summer, if any -- and you'll have to find space indoors for the tender plants during the winter.

However, having all this variety allows you to decide which ones you like and which ones grow well for you -- just cuz it's "fragrant" doesn't mean you'll think it smells great, and everyone's nose is different.

Make sure you find out the growing needs of each, don't put the young plants in big pots right away, and don't put the mints in pots with anything else -- they'll take over by August.

I'd think twice before planting mints.

There is an opportunity for you to manage your fragrant plants. I am in the same or much worse situation in this regard.

You may evaluate the plants about their fragrance or their value in your garden.. Some are not up to your expectation so you might then remove it later from your garden.

I do propagate more of my favorite plants. I grow them in pots. I use it as a gift in case that my friends or relatives love to have one.
