Hello. I took some cuttings from my maid of orleans And put them in water. Do I dip them in rooting powder and put them in sterile mix? Thanks. Filix

I use a seedling tray with a high dome, along with a heating mat. I use a rooting powder or gel along with regular potting soil. This keeps the humidity high so the leaves will not dry out before the roots have developed.

I find that maid of orleans roots very easily. This time of year in your zone siliconmage's method should do well for you. They root easy in this zone in the spring, summer, and fall just by sticking them in rooting hormone and placing in a pot of dirt outside in the shade. Got 2 huge plants that way. ~SJN

I am afraid Jasmines can't make it outside in our area at all, with temperatures below 30 degrees at night and only 60 degrees during the day. Mine are making due on my front porch with a space heater and humidifier to enhance the growing environment. I expect they will be outside next month. I have extra room in my seedling trays since it is time to plant my Tomato and watermelon seeds.
