Abelia mosanensis fragrance

Since this plant is new to most North American gardeners, I'd never smelled one before I purchased one this spring. Despite sitting half-bare rooted in a container, it put out 3 blooms this past week.

Fragrance is very nice, almost jasmine-like; pretty strong for 3 small flowers -- can't wait for next year's performance.

so far it seems to be a pretty tough shrub.

Anyone else growing this one?

Jim

I bought this last summer it is blooming currently. The fragrance is very sweet and wafts too. It is in 10inch container but it can be planted in ground in zone 7. Very easy maintance shrub. Worth buying

I've got one & it's rock solid hardy. Three winters in the ground and thriving. Scent is lovely and so is the fall colour.
