my 'daisy' shrub. these always bloom here around memorial day and this year's crop of flowers seems especially abundant. not the most individually beautiful of the gardenia flowers but the numbers are awesome. we are getting regular rainfall and experiencing cooler temps than the past few summers. you can hardly see the foliage for the flowers. it is about 4'high x 3'wide in sun through mid-day. i can detect the fragrance from the front door, about 25' away.
this bed is being redone to incorporate a watergarden so excuse the clutter of dichondra and various weeds.
