Vigna caracalla in Los Angeles?

Does anybody know if the fragrant vine Vigna caracalla "corkscrew flower" fragrant with the white to pink to purple flower does well in Los Angeles, Sunset zone 23? I have the other Vigna vine that is all purple and it grows well here but isnt fragrant at all.

Thanks.

Speaking of Sunset (WESTERN GARDEN BOOK), it has the plant zoned for your area. Maybe look for specimens at Los Angeles State and County Arboretum or Huntington Botanical Garden, if local nurseries stocking it (if any are at present) is not enough of an assurance.
