When to prune my Daphne Odora?

| I have a Daphne which has recently finished blooming. It looks a bit "leggy' so I started to prune it. Is this the right time? I don't see very many new buds. If I prune all the branches, it won't have any leaves. Any ideas? Thank you ahead of time! |

| I pruned my Daphne a few weeks ago, it is potted and just got so lopsided that I was willing to take the risk that it wouldn't survive the pruning. After pruning it had no leaves, although it has some sort of small buds that have been there for months. I think it is starting to put out a leaf or two, but I'm not sure yet. If you want to email me in a month I can give you a status report! |

Hi socalgal, I havent been here for awhile. Thanks for the info. I just pruned it ,and it seems to have a couple tiny buds, but no leaves, like your plant. I guess we'll just have to wait and see! Thanks again! gesjenn |
