Jasminum Stephanese leaves dried out

Posted by achen 8 (My Page) on

Hi,

I planted a Jasminum Stephanense last summer in the ground. It seemed to have wintered well and was showing new growth till last week. From the past couple of days I noticed that some of the branches had turned brown and the new growth on these branches have dried out? Any idea what could have caused this? Now I see only a small branch is still green.
Is the plant dying? Is there anything that I can do?

Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks in Advance

Achen, I can think of 3 reasons your Jasmine is browning.
1 too much direct sun/not enough water. 2. over-feeding.. 3 Insects.
What month did you plant the jasmine last summer?
Are you watering so soil is semi-moist?
Do you feel sticky leaves? Check for insects..Toni
