Sorry if this has been discussed before, but I am interested in opinions as to the most highly fragranced Osmanthus cultivars that would do well here in N.C. Zone 7.

Check on local success with Osmanthus delavayi. It really wafts.

Can anyone tell me about the relative fragrance of Osmanthus fragrans varieties, such as 'Aurantiacus', 'Clemson Yellow' and 'Nanjing's Beauty' vs. other Osmanthus species and selections?

Take a look at Nurseries Carolingiana -- they've got a good selection of osmanthus and have good info for Carolina growers -- they are also very helpful by phone or email.

O. fragrans 'Fudinzhu' gets high marks around here!
