Corydalis elata soooooo fragrant

I have killed multiple blue Corydalis in my garden even though they are supposed to grow well here. Someone at a plant sale told me C. elata was much easier. Well, not only has it lived it is extremely fragrant. I had no idea. It has a "tropical coconut" sort of fragrance and I can smell it clear across my yard and with my window open in my office. Just outstanding. Not to mention the intense cobalt blue color. It did flop in an untidy way and the open crown could use hiding but I am in love...

Here is a link that might be useful: corydalis elata

Thank-you for your information on this beautiful plant!
I am excited for you.
I had no idea of their being fragrant either.
Have you heard anything about how they might do in zone 7 in the Northeast where winters are briefly quite cold, and summers briefly hot?

Best wishes,
Matt Di Clemente

Terra Nova says this:
Perhaps the best Corydalis for the south. Fabulously fragrant cobalt blue flowers adorn the upright habit of this garden jewel. This selection does not go summer dormant. Flowers emerge in May and bloom through July. This superior selection does well in moist soils.

It is listed for zones 6-8
