| The common name of 'Star Gardenia' is available at many nurseries in California. Almost all my plants are planted in pots like a nursery. That is easier for me to manage. This five gal 'Star Gardenia' is usually set at filtered sunlight area that will develop flower buds. If I put this plant at a hot or sunny location, all the flowers tend to bloom in a very shorter duration.
I counted all the flower buds, large and tiny ones about 80. I shall put this plant at a cool and shadier area. The flowers will be opening more gardually and slowly. All I need is to have 2 to 5 flowers to smell. |

| It has been over 20 days, this 5-gal fragrant gardenia is still going strong. The fragrance blooms would last 10 more days in my living room. Not a bad deal. |
