Please help me to stop killing Jasmines!

I have just gotten a few Sambac plants, a J.humile and J officinale.

I would love to know how to properly care for them and have them flourish--before I once again start to "work my magic" and kill them.

My husband tells me that the only solution is for me to stop buying them :-( but I really love the fragrance of jasmines.

My past victims were all healthy, until given my obviously wrong care.

I'm not even sure what I do wrong--maybe it's different things--overwatering, underwatering, I have no clue.

Do the different species require slightly different care?
Should the soil dry thoroughly or just a little before watering?

Any books that give good Jasmine growing guidance?

I can put them outdoors during much of the summer, maybe bringing them inside when it is over 90 , but it's often only in the 80s here and 60-70% humidity--til September..

Would they like full sun?
Can I simply put them outdoors if they were kept indoors at the nursery.

I know that if I'm given the right care instructions, I will eventually succeed!
