Hello, anyone have a suggestion on fragrant roses which will grow in containers? They don't have to be climbers but I need a good screen plants and I like fragrance for the day. Thanks.

RE: fragrant climbing rose to grow in container

You can grow just about any rose in a container if you right-size the container for the expected final size that you want the plant to reach or at least close, as they won't grow as large as ground-planted ones. You might also want to be prepared to transplant it up as it gets bigger if you do want more size. The big climbers tend to be very aggressive growers and could outgrow even a large container quickly unless you keep the plant well-pruned (including the roots).

I have been debating trying some again after having grown a small-flowering variety in a container for a number of years. I think I have run out of room though! LOL
