Rose Glasses

Dar Sunset Zone 18

I found out about these from Mariannese's postings on the Rose forum. These were popular during the 50s and 60s and are now virtually unheard of. They help keep flowers last long and also intensifies the fragrance.

I notice a similar affect many years ago when my mom left a Michelia alba flower in a drawer; The scent of this flower stored in the drawer was very strong!

I got a candy jar off ebay for $5 and place several M. alba blossoms inside and left it over night. When I opened it the scent was just too INTENSE. It reminded me of the intensity of Michelia coco and being in there does make it smell like that too.
