I bought mine last year I think, or the year before that, don't remember.
Just plant it as a tree. That's all.
I mulched real well, and mine is planted a little high, but it is doing fine.
The nursery I bought it from posted a pic of the bloom, his was not red, real dark orange, and pretty, but not red.
I didn't care, I thought it was beautiful, but I paid a premium price for a red one,
I love sweet olive, if it doens't bloom for a few years, don't get upset, the red ones take longer to bloom than the white ones.

Thanks for the info! I know mine will probably be more orange, but I don't care! The smell of the tiny flowers is what drew me in. Red or orange, it will match the rest of my garden!

I too bought from South Carolina nursery. Which zone did you guys planted outside? How is it going? How many yrs take it to bloom?
