Can Jasmine be Propagated in Summer?

A few months ago I asked my gardener to stop trimming a Jasmine that I have. He would shape it, if you call it that, every couple months. We'd always end up with no flowers since he'd hack them off. Either way we've ended up with incredible growth that we're thrilled about.

There's a wall in our yard that I'd like to put a trellis against and grow some more jasmine. Since the current Jasmine is going wild and does need a slight trim can I propagate from it now or should I wait until summer ends? I don't have any lights, so it'll have to be done in the shade or a window.

Thanks for any help,
Tony
