The botanical name of your jasmine is Trachelospermum jasminoides. It's not technically a true jasmine.
Looks like it's fairly easy to propagate. :)

Can I propagate in Summer?

According to the site in the link below it can.
I just did a google search using the botanical name and propagation.
You'll gets tons of info. :)

Trachelospermum can be propagated by layering in spring, and also from semi-ripe cuttings in summer and autumn. Cuttings root better if given bottom heat of 15-20ðC (59-68ðF) in a heated propagating case.
