Jasmine Maid of Orleans

I bought a Jasmine Maid of Orleans two weeks ago, and put it in my livingroom. It looks OK, but seems like it drops a lot of flowers in a days time. Is that normal? The flowers are all over the floor every day when I get home from work.

Also - how do I keep it blooming?

I love this plant. I had to get up in the middle of the night a few nights ago. The fragrance just filled the lvingroom. It was absolutely divine!!

That is normal, only the double and triples don't drop their blooms. It'll produce blooms just fine if you keep it fertilized and fairly dry.

Like RP1 said, the flowers only last a day or two. To keep it making more, it's got to put out new shoots and leaves, so it needs lots of sun, but don't let it get dry enough to wilt the leaves.

"The flowers are all over the floor" - I use them for potpourri.
