There is another one of similar scent; but it is a large tree Michelia Michelia chapensis Dandy:

| ... and Michelia Yunanesis This is also very fragrant. It is said that people never find these in the wild (possibly extinct already). The trees are from a couple historical temples.

I do have a maudiae, but mine is not mature enough to bloom. Thanks for the picture of a michelia yunanensis and chapensis, I've never seen those before. |
