Start Michelia from seeds

Hello,

Anybody has success in germinating michelia seeds? My champaca is about to produce quite bit of seeds and I would like to have a few more plants.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I had four seeds of M. champaca last years. I used only moist perlite for germination, under controlled condition about 23 degrees F. Only one seed was germinated. This seedling is about 5 inches now.
