Shade loving and mowable?

I have a little patch of my yard that is in a full shade area all day. Light shade, but still full shade. And it is along the side of an easement drive that sees frequent driving. The soil itself is full of gravel from years of the easement drive being there, but it seems to host a whole variety of weeds.

The area needs to be mowable around the edges, but I would like to plant in something fragrant to kind of ground cover in and take some nipping around the edges. I would love fragrant blooms for deep shade suggestions for my area. SW MI, zone 5/6.

I have a mint border in another area of the yard, and I love mowing over the edge of it. I would like to have something that smells different in this area.

Any suggestions for what kinds of fragrant plants I could put into this shady spot would be appreciated :)
