I think it could be one of the following:

Too much salt/fertilizer build in the soil.

Going through its natural leaf shedding period. However, the old leaves fully turn yellow first than fall off and brown. Some of the newer leaves leaves might develop brown tips and edges. But you should see new leaf buds along the branches at this time.

Not enough water, or maybe the soil is staying saturated for too long.
