Why Are My 4oClocks Not Fragrant Anymore?

My 4oclocks smelled wonderful, ( pls forgive my grammatical errors, am typing on a touch screen phone, errors will be many!)

My 4oclocks were highly fragrant for a month or so, now they look the same but are not scented.

I have been collecting the black seeds b4 they fall, & removing spent flowers.

Las Cruces , which is close to El Paso, they are planted on a N fCing wall receiving 6-8 hrs sun... ?

any thoughts?

I can only guess, since I've never grown these-- a lot of plants are more fragrant on warm, sunny days. My jasmines and other fragrants don't have quite the punch now that it's getting cooler.
