mirabilis jalapa

just now i realized that the mirabilis jalapa i grew from seeds is growing tubers. when do i have to take them out of the soil for next year? like dahlias? (they have to freeze before taking them out)

Hi; Forgive my lack of understanding the Austria weather and climate. If the weather is not terribly hash I would let them winter over in the soil and keep them dry and warm.

Yes, I have heard that it can be treated in the same manner as you would Dahlia, however I do not have experience in growing Dahlia. Good Growing.
