leaf spots on gardenia seedlings

| I purchased the seeds from ebay. They grow up pretty easily. However, I find water drops (rains) cause leaf spots on them, as if their leaves are painted with dark green watercolor paint.

I am still with the dial up and sometimes the connection gets very cranky lol. Have you checked the plant out for pest especially on the under side of their leaves? Are these plants in/outdoor growing? What sp. of gardenia is it?

| No they do not have mites. I keep them very clean. I dont know the cultivar. The picture on ebay looks like a semi-double. The seller is from Texas. The spots are indeed caused by water. I watched the process in a rain. Strange. |

| Hi, I, myself, just recently purchased some gardenia seeds from e-bay. The seller is from Australia. Could you provide some advice on how to sow those seeds, and care of new seedlings, etc. Many thanks! |

| easy, soak seeds, sow on surface of peat, cover with 1 layer of vermiculites
70 F, they germinate over 2 months
you may need to de-cap carefully

| I am new here, today is my first day.I have Gardenia plants in my greenhouse, I like to mist the leaves with water and thats when my spots showed up. I think it is just the sun bleaching out the leaves from the water. I don't think much of it , my plants still look healthy. |
