I noticed this great fragrance last night coming from a row of trees leading up to my new house. After looking on the web, i think the trees are joy perfume magnolias. Can anyone who grows one of these give me a positive ID? Thanks

Here is a link that might be useful: joy magnolia?

You got the name corect. The common name is Michelia champaca. I have three plants just like that, the flower and the leaf coloration & appearance. It will bear seeds. The origin comes from Tailand and the border to China. Basically it can be considered as a tropical type Magnolia.
