M. ALBA damaged by whitefly

My two M. ALBA are seriously damaged by whiteflies (lots of black spots on leaves and flowers, and stop growing). At first, whiteflies damaged my hibiscuses. I tried every spray I have and fail to get rid of them. Last week I found my M. ALBA are damaged too. They are 5 feet tall in 2 and 3 G pots and were very healthy.

I went to the hibiscus forum, there people suggest to use Earthworm casting and galic-soaked water. I used earthworm casting immeduately and the galic-soaked water is in preparation (needs 2-3 wks).

Be cautious for your M. ALBA if you have hibiscus at yard.

Any better suggestions?

You'll need some bayer systemic for shrubs and roses. That'll kill off any insect like that.

Two winters ago my plants were infested by whitefly..(I've over 400 houseplants)
I went to www.GardensAlive.com and ordered sticky traps..they're fantastic. The traps are also reusalbe. You wouldn't believe the number of WF's these traps caught..I only had to use once, since then no more pests..Toni

Get some Orthocide. Totally natural, it's a combo of sesame and fish oils. Stinky, but effective ;-) it got rid of scale and whitefly on my M. Alba. Be careful when you spray. It can't be too hot out, or the oil may scorch the leaves.
