I don't really know the answer to your question, but congratulations on your seed pods. Please let us know if the seeds produced plants similar to their parents, or if they seem to be hybrids.

The fragrance of white brunfelsias is one of my favorites. Which one do you like better, B. nitida or B. americana?

They both are nice, but the nitida has a cleaner citrusy scent to it in my opinion. As for the seed pods, they are still green on the plant. I don't know how long they take to ripen. It will probably be quite a long time before I know if they hybridized or not. The nitida is an upright plant and the americana has a low-growing spread; a combination of all the best traits would be ideal, of course.
