| The M.(!) figo "Port Wine" has been in bloom regularly this year with deep purple petals until the last two months. Now the deep purple hue has paled to almost a regular figo. Luckily the fragrance is still very strong.
Anybody know why it would "decolorize" all of sudden? |

| Other magnolias produce less impressive flowers later in the season, maybe that's it. Are these on new growth, instead of from overwintering buds? |

| Ron, These are on new growth. I thought sun exposure had something to do with it so I moved the container to a sunnier part which did not do anything for the color, the fragrance was possibly stronger though. J |
