Fragrant shrub ID

Hello,

There's a pretty shrub on campus (blooms in the spring) that has pink blooms and smells wonderful. A sweet, soapy scent that wafts. The flowers look sort of like a mallow, but I don't think that's it. Any idea what it could be?

Thanks:)

I actually don't have much more info; I was hoping the mallow comparison would generate some ideas. I am starting to wonder if maybe it's a rugosa. Pale pink, single cup-shaped blossoms and a delicious fragrance. Oh well, I will have to take a picture of it in the spring!
