Fragrant Plants

Invasive Honeysuckle

Hey I am starting a fragrant garden area rather large, I have a bunch of Brungs, Night blooming Jasmine and am now looking for some invasive Honeysukle that is very fragrant and free blooming. I live about a mile off the Texas coast near Corpus Christi. Lots of Heat, sand and humidity. I do have plenty of water and an irrigation system (well). Plants do not seem to do well down here unless they are the invasive variety.

Any help in variety selection would be greatly appreciated.

this plant (japanese honeysuckle) is on your state's list of exotic invasives and it would be ecologically irresponsible of someone to plant it.
it has spread with a vengeance throughout the southeast.
why not plant something less aggressive that has a good fragrance?
