I have a two questions for anyone who knows a lot about sweet goldenrod:

1. Are the flowers scented or is the odor only from the leaves?

2. I have read that the leaves of sweet goldenrod have an anise scent. The goldenrod that grows wild here definitely has strongly scented leaves but I never thought of it as anise. (I am in the natural range of sweet goldenrod but I believe there are other varieties in my range.) I'm wondering if sweet goldenrod is the only goldenrod with foliage that is scented.
