Help with my Fuchsia!

I got some unnamed seeds in a trade, and figured I'd give them a shot! ANd they're growing! I live in sub-tropical zone 10. Right now we're pretty cool, with low humidity and that might be why they're doing so well. I would like to put them into hanging baskets. What is the best potting medium? How often should I fertilize? Where would be the best location to grow them (i.e. a "cooler" semi-shady location, full afternoon sun, etc) Or would I just be better off taking them into the house for the long, hot, humid summer?

Wanna run, go ahead and plant them in your hanging baskets,in a light loomy sterile soil.I myself use Black Gold, and add a little more perlite and some compost. If you have growth of any kind dilute it by 1/2 strenghth. I use Peters. And water once a week.I also put a small handful of Osmacote on top of the soil. And put them in a filtered light.Good Luck...mine are coming to life again too.But I live in Washington State and mine are in my greenhouse.***Suzanne

Thank you Suzanne! They have really been doing good and I did want to get them transplanted before that got too settled where they were!
