| Hi I was waiting to see if anyone got back to you with an answer, I don’t want to hog this place, but it seems not. The ideal pH for fuchsias is 5.8 (Moderately acid: 5.6–6.0) and in my area of the UK we have no problem with this. It may be that where you intend growing the plants may be a little too acid but until you really know what the pH of the area is it may be a ‘suck it and see’ situation.
