wintered baskets

I wintered a dozen 12" fuchsia baskets and now have them under lights indoors to break dormancy . They've begun to put on new growth and I'm tempted to hang them back up outside . Our ten day forecast looks frost free and I need the space .....any ideas would be appreciated

RE: wintered baskets

This is a tricky one. Some varieties do not take cold weather well; going dormant around 40 degrees. I would begin by placing them outside only during the day and watch for stress. Keep them in the dark at night. Then, with caution, leave the ones who show no ill affects over night, but watch them slosely. This may stop or slow growth on some. You could also use clear plastic bags as mini-greenhouses too.
