What Can You Tell Me About?----------

I am a real newbie to growing hardy Fuchsia's in the ground & just ordered 6. Can any of you tell me what they are like? On some of them I can't even find how large they will get.

Carmel Blue
Celia Smedley
VooDoo
Dainty Lady
Pink Fairy
Candlelight

Thanks!

Monnier’s Country Gardens (monnierscountrygardens.com) has an on-line catalog that lists the heights of its cultivars. I’m not aware on any other fuchsia web sites that consistently includes information about height, but there are numerous places to investigate growth habit, bloom size, color, shape, parentage, etc. My favorites include The Swedish Fuchsia Society’s Thumbnail index (www2.dicom.se/fuchsias/thumbsindex.html) and on-line Fuchsia Database (www2.dicom.se/fuchsias/engliststart.html), The Earthworks on-line catalog (fuchsias.net/catalog2000/index.htm), Fuchsia Magic (fuchsiamagic.com/fuchsias/fuchsias.htm), and even a German-language site at fuchsia-home.de (since their index of cultivars includes visual images, you don’t have to worry about reading German).

There are also numerous books about fuchsias out there, though they don’t all provide information about height. Of my five books, only the DK Garden Guide for Fuchsias mentions height, though all give details about the growth habit and blooms.
