I live in a humid, relatively cool part of the island and would appreciate any insight people might like to share. Susan

RE: Can I grow Fuschias in Hawaii?

All right now. I went to Hawaii 20 years ago when I was
pregnant with my now-college daughter, and even in my
8th month, with 35 extra pounds I hiked into the Kilueua(sp?) crater with my hubby. Around the rim of this crater
and all along the road was the MOST EXTRAORDINARY collection of about 6 foot tall fuschia bushes growing wild--and the HUMMINGBIRDS were just going crazy.

I'd think that if nature could grow these without the help of man, then surely you could, too.
