Fusias in Zone 5 ???

Hello all,
I live in zone 5 and have seen a few sources advertizing fusias hardy in zone 5. I am puzzled, are there any that overwinter in zone 5? If so, are they similar to the ones you see with the pretty blooms? I understand, if they do survive, they are desiduous. Can anyone help me answer those questions?
Or better yet, anyone has been succesfull growing them outdoors in zone 5.
What are the varieties and are they as impressive as the great-blooming cultivars?
Thanks,
Kris in Chicago |

| Looking at several of the US zone 5 temperature sites for winter, they vary from -15f/-20f. Too cold for fuchsias to survive, unless of course anyone out there knows different Kath:) |

| Thanks to all the help from Kath, I wintered mine indoors and took cuttings. I have plants for the whole neighborhood. Mine is the fushia gartenmeister. A beauty |
