Self watering Fuchsia baskets

I just bought 2 hanging Fuchsia baskets at Lowes. I have 2 self watering hanging baskets I'd like to transplant them into. Also when I do this I'd thought about adding water holding crystals into the soil I add. Is this a good idea? Any thoughts? I'm new to fuchsias. Thanks in advance.

| It would work fine. Fuschias don't like downing, but they like lots of water. |
