The reason is flowers started to show about 2 weeks ago and i have noticed some of them have collected pollen so i wanted to know how long this takes as i have looked and researched the internet and the books i have but yet have not found anything that gives this away reason being is i've tried cuttings and im not that succsesful in this area, well saying that i do have some cuttings in jar of water in zip bag on window cill in shaded area and they seem to be doing good so fingers crossed

RE: Fuchsia alba magellanica Info needed

Like any other fuchsia, hardy or not, the seeds form as small black berries. They should appear as the flowers go over but take some time to ripen and mature. The FAQ from this forum has instructions for harvesting and germination.

btw, you have the name a bit rearranged :-) It should be Fuchsia magellanica 'Alba' or more correctly, Fuchsia magellanica var. molinae.
