hardy fuchsia in a pot

I potted up two fuchsias last week, celia smedley and swanley yellow, in two large pots. The starts I had were in 4x6 in pots. I thought they were too little to put directly in the ground, but am now thinking that they will be too vigorous to do well in the pots, 13w x 9h and 12w x 13h. Should I take them out now and put them in the ground or wait until fall? I understand that both are hardy. I have spots available in full sun as well as partial shade. Any thoughts about best placement? I am a newbie to fuchsias.

If you have a good spot in the ground, put them in the ground. You could first put the plants, in their pots, in the location where you are thinking of planting them, and see how they do for a week or so. Then you will know if the sum exposure is right etc.
