I need help on my fuschias, please???

| I have 2 fuschias on a hanging basket (dusky rose and blue eyes), I started it out as small starters and it was growing beautifully and becoming bushy. It is hanging by the deck at the east side of the house. Two days ago, I noticed wilting (see photo), I don't let it dry out and I pinch it to make it bushy. The only thing I can think of is the last 3 days it was quite hot... could this be the culprit? From the east side of the house, it receives morning sun... please help as I really want this to bloom!!!

| Yes, it's probably the heat, keep it damp but don't overwater it. - Kath:) |

The poor thing! If it's under a roof area, the temperature could be a lot higher than plant would like. If it is then in a place where it would catch a breeze, the moisture could be taken from the leaves quicker than the roots could replace it from the potting mix. Misting might help, or finding somewhere a little cooler. IanS |

| How did you get your picture to show with your question without having a link? I want to do that! |

| Is the only part that is wilted the branch closest to us? It looks like maybe the branch got bent or broken. Are you sure it didn't get bumped or something? Look close. Jeanette |

| It's on different parts of the plant, I've got 5 starters in one pot, and 2 of them were wilted and the others are like on their way, too. Here's another angle:

| Like Ian says Bullet your main problem is probably that it is not getting enough air circulation under the awning. Is it not possible to move it to a 'more open' position and out of the pm sun? - Kath:) |

| I didn't know that this thread I submitted last May was still here and now, I just wanted you to see that this same fuschia that was really sad before is now bursting with pride and joy! I moved it to the outer side of the deck facing the morning sun and 2 months after... voila!
