Gall Mite resistant fuchsia?

| I have had a small but treasured collection of fuchsias for many years. Two years ago I planted 4 cultivars in the ground and they did very well. THIS year I now have fuchia gall mite and its bad. I pulled two plants up and dumped them in the trash today. I will probably treat the other s with insecticide (imcloprimid?) but I am concerned with the effect on hummers and bees, butterflies etc. So, I would like to replace the lost plants with mite-resistant ones. Does anyone know of mite resistant fuchias? |

Hi, Just have look at the webpage of the North Western Fuchsia Society. There is a listing of cultivars. |

| I find that cutting them to the ground and cleaning away all leaf material results in them growing back without mites. See if it works. They grow back quickly in the growing season. Better than throwing them out. |
