Fuscia Flowers wilting and dying

| I have a fuscia that I bought as a 4 inch start and put in a hanging basket. It thrived and grew and got lots of buds which turned into beautiful flowers. Now the flowers are spent and withered (there are a couple of new blooms still on there). Did I let it get too dry? Should I take off the flowers or cut it back in some way to help save it? The leaves do not look wilty, and it looks healthy otherwise. I love this plant, and want to keep it going. Help please.
It is the type with big hot pink and purple flowers. |

| Cut off the spent blooms to encourage the plant to bloom again. |

| No flowers do not last for ever. They have a natural life and when spent will wither and die. I would not bother to cut them off. Fuchsia flowers fall naturally. Cutting will leave a stalk which will fall off by itself anyway. Although they bloom over a long period they do not bloom for ever so as long as the plant is healthy don't worry. You could pinch out the growing tips to keep it bushy if you want to. |
