| When you say young fuchsias what size do you mean. Are they the basket stuffer size 2-4 inch pots. Pinching back fuchsias is taking any where from just the tip of a branch or taking it back to shape it from a little to lots. The plants really are quite tough and forgiving. Depending on whether the flower is a single, semi-double or double it will take anywhere from 6 to 10 weeks for the plant to bloom after pinching it back. Basket stuffers and start can take that long when you buy them as well. As long as the plant has leafed out and the flower buds are looking healthy they will bloom. Sometimes it seems like it takes forever for the blooms to finally open. |
