My plants this year are very leggy. I have a raised garden and the branches are reaching to the ground. Should I prune them? If I should could you please explain how? Thank you.

i just got some fuchsia and wondered how you grew them in zone 9. how much rain do you get where you are? are your plants totally in the shade? do you grow them only in pots? can i grow the hardy varieties outside if they are hardy to zone 8? and in order to keep them wet enough outside what do you suggest to help keep moisture in the soil? thanks. barb
