Potting hardy fuchsias??

Posted by confuchsiaed Western WA (My Page) on

Does anyone know if it is possible to pot the hardy varieties of fuchsias? I have 3 H2's that i would rather pot than plant in the ground directly, as i may be moving next year.

Any thoughts??? Can they be over wintered just like the non-hardy types??

Thanks!!

Yes, they can be container grown, depending on the type, use the appropriate sized container. Overwinter the same as a tender fuschia. The require that period of dormancy.
